Privacy Policy

Syncopate, Corp. · Last Updated: October 13, 2026

1. Introduction

Syncopate Corp (“Syncopate”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a royalty analytics platform for music rights holders. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, use our services, or otherwise interact with us.

By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our services.

2. Our Role

For information about our website visitors and the users of our accounts, Syncopate is the controller.

For the royalty statements, catalog data, and other content our customers upload or connect (“Customer Data”), Syncopate acts as a processor (or “service provider”) on behalf of our customer. We process Customer Data only to provide the services and as instructed in our customer agreements, including our Data Processing Agreement. Questions about personal information contained in Customer Data should be directed to the customer that provided it.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Contact Information

  • Name, email address, and company
  • Login and authentication information (managed by our authentication provider)
  • Communications you send us, such as support requests

3.2 Customer Data

Royalty statements and related files, catalog and rights information, and the analyses you create. Customer Data may include names of artists, songwriters, and other rights holders, and payment amounts.

3.3 Usage and Technical Information

  • Browser type, operating system, and device
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Pages viewed, features used, and standard log information

4. How We Use Information

  • To provide, maintain, and secure our services
  • To process Customer Data as instructed by our customers
  • To improve and develop our services
  • To respond to inquiries and provide support
  • To send service and account communications and, where permitted, product updates
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Artificial Intelligence

Our services use AI models to extract data from uploaded documents and to power our in-app assistant. To do this, relevant Customer Data is sent to the AI providers listed as subprocessors in our Trust Center. We use these providers under commercial terms that do not permit them to use Customer Data to train their models.

6. Connected Accounts

You can connect a third-party account, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive, to import files into our services. When you do, the provider asks for your permission and gives us read-only access to your files and your account email address and name.

We use this access only to show you your files and to import the files you choose, and only when you start an import. Imported files become Customer Data and are handled as described in this policy. We store the access credentials the provider issues to us in encrypted form and use them for no other purpose.

We do not sell data from connected accounts, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine learning models. We share it only with the subprocessors needed to provide our services.

You can disconnect an account in the application at any time, which stops further access, or revoke our access in your account settings with the provider. Files you already imported stay in your account until you delete them.

Syncopate’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Subprocessors and Disclosure

We share information with service providers that help us operate our services, such as cloud hosting, data storage, authentication, monitoring, and AI providers. They may use it only to provide services to us and are bound by data protection terms. Our current list of subprocessors, their purpose, and their location is published in ourTrust Center.

We may also disclose information:

  • To comply with law, legal process, or a valid request from a public authority. Unless legally prohibited, we notify the affected customer before disclosing their Customer Data.
  • To protect our rights, users, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy

8. Data Location and Transfers

Our services are hosted in the United States. Where personal information is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Retention and Deletion

We keep Customer Data for as long as the customer account is active, or as otherwise set out in our customer agreements. Customers can delete statements and catalogs in the application at any time. When an account ends or a customer asks us to delete their data, we delete it within 30 days; residual copies in backups expire on our regular backup schedule.

10. Security

We protect information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls with multi-factor authentication, logical separation of customer data, logging and monitoring, and regular vulnerability scanning. More detail is available in ourTrust Center. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will notify affected customers without undue delay and notify regulators and individuals where required by law.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at[email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires. If your request concerns Customer Data, we will refer it to or assist the relevant customer. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

13. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “Last Updated” date and, for material changes, notify customers by email.
